VSM Spring isolators

Vibro/Dynamics Lo/Tuned™ spring isolators feature a low natural frequency (2–3 Hz), making them highly effective at protecting sensitive areas from vibration and shock. They significantly reduce vibration transmission generated by high-speed machinery, ensuring improved stability for both equipment and surrounding environments.

Lo/Tuned™ spring mounts are available with either viscous damping (VSX) or material damping (VSM), depending on the application. Viscous damping is suited for machines that pass slowly through resonance with large unbalanced forces, while material damping is ideal for machines with smaller unbalanced forces that pass quickly through resonance and operate at speeds well above the isolator’s natural frequency. An optional built-in leveling feature allows for fast and precise installation.

These isolators are built with a rugged design to ensure long service life. A high-quality elastomer cushion provides uniform contact with the foundation and minimizes high-frequency spring resonance. Customization options are available to meet specific requirements. Typical applications include high-speed presses, turret punch presses, generators, compressors, pumps, measuring equipment, HVAC systems, textile machinery, and other high-speed equipment with low inertia forces.

Viscous (VSX) and material damping (VSM) available
Viscous damping is best suited for machines that pass through resonance slowly and have large out-of-balances inertia forces relative to machine weight, or whose speed is close to resonance
Material damping is best suited for machines that have small out-of-balance forces relative to machine weight, pass through resonance quickly, and operate at a speed at least 1.5 times the natural frequency of the isolator
